- AN OPERAND OF value IS NOT VALID.
The operation value can be the LIKE predicate, the ESCAPE clause, the LOCATE scalar function, or the POSSTR scalar function.
The following must be string expresions:
- The operands appearing to the left of a LIKE or NOT LIKE predicate
- The operand appearing in the ESCAPE clause
- The first two arguments to the LOCATE function
- The arguments to the POSSTR function

A LIKE predicate, ESCAPE clause, LOCATE scalar function or POSSTR scalar function cannot be used with DATE, TIME, or TIMESTAMP.
