Descrição:

These commands allow you to browse through the runtime Journal Definitions (JD) that you are authorized to access.
The sequence of browsing is strictly undefined, but continued browsing does guarantee to return all the definitions that you are authorized to access, assuming that no new JD entries are installed while this browse is taking place.
Only one browse of the JD is allowed at any one time in a given task.
See Browsing resource definitions for more information.

Opções:

    END
  • Terminates the browse and frees any held resources.
    JOURNALNUM(data-area)
  • Returns a 16-bit binary field that indicates the numeric identifier of the journal for which information is retrieved on an INQUIRE JOURNALNUM NEXT command.
    NEXT
  • Retrieves the identifier and any requested attributes of the next (that is, first or subsequent) JD entry that is accessed.
    START
  • Initializes the scan of the JD in preparation for a series of INQUIRE JOURNALNUM NEXT commands.
  • Note that no information about journals is retrieved until an INQUIRE JOURNALNUM NEXT command is executed.

Condições:

    END
  • Occurs on an INQUIRE JOURNALNUM NEXT command if all authorized JD entries have been accessed.
  • Ação pré-definida: Terminates the task abnormally.
    ILLOGIC
  • Occurs for the following conditions:
    • An INQUIRE JOURNALNUM START command is issued when a browse of the JD is already in progress.
    • An INQUIRE JOURNALNUM NEXT or INQUIRE JOURNALNUM END command is issued, but an INQUIRE JOURNALNUM START command has not been successfully issued.
  • Ação pré-definida: Terminates the task abnormally.
